Joy S. Whitman, Ph.D. is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 34 years of clinical experience. She has treated clients with a history of interpersonal trauma, disordered eating, anxiety, depression, sexuality concerns, and career issues, and she has considerable experience working with LGBTQ+ clients. In addition to her clinical experience, she was Clinical Professor at Seattle University in the Online Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and has published and presented nationally/internationally on LGBTQ+ counseling issues, specifically on training counselors to provide affirmative therapeutic treatment and working with older LGBTQ+ clients.
