FAQs

Is Fosnight Center an alternative to my OBGYN or Urologist?

No, our goal is not to disrupt your relationship with your OBGYN or general urologist. At the Fosnight Center, we complement the care you’re already receiving and work in partnership with your existing providers to support and enhance your sexual health and overall well-being.

The Fosnight Center team does not practice under endocrinology and cannot support you with your thyroid care or medications. While it is important to know your thyroid hormone levels to provide the best hormone sex steroid therapy, we encourage patients to work with their primary care provider or happy to make a referral to an endocrinologist to optimize your thyroid care.

Our healthcare providers are urology specialists and are considered a specialty medical service.

No referral is needed to schedule an appointment. However, if your insurance plan requires one for reimbursement, we recommend checking with your provider.

Yes, we are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Aetna, and Cigna. If you have coverage through one of these providers, we’re happy to bill your insurance directly. If you have a different insurance plan, we are considered out-of-network, but we can provide a detailed receipt (superbill) for you to submit for possible reimbursement.

We also accept HSA/FSA cards and offer flexible payment options for out-of-pocket costs. For Medicare beneficiaries, please note that our providers have formally opted out of Medicare. As a result, we are unable to submit claims or provide superbills for reimbursement through Medicare.

At this time, we do not offer after-hours care or on-call provider services. If you have a non-urgent concern outside of business hours, please send us a message through the patient portal, and we will respond during the next business day.

For urgent medical needs, we recommend contacting your primary care provider or visiting an urgent care center. In case of a medical emergency, always call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
