WHO WE ARE
At the Fosnight Center in Asheville, NC, we recognize the pieces and put them together to create an individualized treatment plan through a multi-disciplinary team approach. You will have the opportunity to be evaluated by our sexual health provider, pelvic health physical therapist, and mental health therapist in order to look at the whole picture of your health concerns. We believe that health matters for everyone and that you have the right to restore your mind, empower your body, and optimize your pleasure.

Sexual medicine is a medical specialty that deals with your sexual and reproductive health. This specialty encompasses diagnosing, assessing, and treating all aspects that relate to sexuality, including sexual health counseling. The Fosnight Center for Sexual Health can also provide basic general urology and gynecological services, which often overlaps with your sexual health. We work collaboratively with other local providers to meet all of your health care needs.
Pelvic floor physical therapy involves assessment of the pelvic floor muscles and pelvic girdle, biofeedback, and exercises to relax and strengthen the muscles. Our pelvic floor physical therapist is trained to treat pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, diastasis recti (abdominal wall separation) in our female, male, and trans/non-binary patients. Vaginal dilator training is also available.
Sex therapists are licensed mental health professionals, trained to provide in-depth psychotherapy with specialization in treating clients with sexual health issues and concerns. Our therapists are competent to assess and treat individuals, couples, transgender/non-binary clients, polyamory relationships, and those engaging in alternative sexual practices with sexual health concerns. Our therapists also treat a wide variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, PTSD and more. Please see detailed list below.
