Certified Medical Assistant

The Fosnight Center is excited to announce we are looking for an enthusiastic Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team! 

This is a full-time position, Monday thru Friday, with benefits.  No weekends.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program or equivalent. 
  • Active CMA certification through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or equivalent.  
  • If not yet certified, candidate must be eligible to sit for the CMA (or equivalent) exam within one year of employment and successfully obtain certification as a condition of continued employment.
  • BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire). 
  • Prior outpatient clinic experience preferred. 
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) 
  • Tenacious and independently driven
  • Trauma-informed and size-inclusive
  • LGBTQIA+ affirming

  • Focus topics include but are not limited to, AMAB concerns with erectile dysfunction, ejaculatory disorders, hypogonadism, Peyronie’s disease, pelvic pain, and overall sexual wellness across the lifespan.
  • Focus topics include but are not limited to, initiation and management of gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT), menstrual and fertility considerations, sexual function, body image, pelvic and urogenital health, and holistic wellness for transgender and gender-diverse patients across the lifespan.

Fellowship Opportunities

Physician Associate Sexual Medicine Fellowship

The Fosnight Center is excited to announce the first Physician Assistant/Associate Fellowship in Sexual Medicine. This one-year, post-graduate fellowship program is appropriate for new PA graduates, as well as experienced PAs wishing to change disciplines or career paths. At this time, each cohort will be limited to ONE fellow.

Curriculum Schedule:

  • 2 months general sexual medicine
  • 4 months of women’s* sexual health
  • 4 months of men’s* sexual health
  • 2 months gender affirming care

This onsite fellowship at the Fosnight Center offers a comprehensive training experience, including direct patient care, structured didactic sessions, experiential learning, hands-on procedural training, and immersive clinical engagements.

Fellowship Director: Aleece Fosnight, PA-C
Candidate Citizenship Requirement: US Citizenship
Fellowship Duration: 12 months (option second year with research/business focus)

Application Timeline: The PA Sexual MEdicine Fellowship at the Fosnight Center utilizes a rolling admissions process.  Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and interview invitations are extended as applications are received.  We encourage early submission, as cohort placement is based on availability.

Interview Process: Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis throughtout the year. Selected applicants will typically be contacted within 4-6 weeks of application submission.

Fellowship Start Dates

Fellows are accepted into quarterly cohort with flexible start dates:

  • Winter Cohort: January – March
  • Spring Cohort: April – June
  • Summer Cohort: July – September
  • Fall Cohort: October – December

Start dates are coordinated based on applicant readiness and program capacity. Each cohort is intentionally limited to ONE Fellow to maintain a high-quality, mentorship-focused training experience.

Salary: $72,000 – $75,000/year depending on experience.  CME stipend and other expenses will be determined upon acceptance.
